Valedictory function of Hindi fortnight conducted at Central Sanskrit University

Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus of Agartala successfully concluded its Hindi Pakhwada – 2025 with a vibrant Valedictory Ceremony held on Thursday (September 18, 2025) in the university premises.

The programme commenced with Vaidik and Laukik Mangalacharan, followed by kulgeet and a welcome address by Dr. Swarga Kumar Mishra (Assistant Professor, Department of Sahitya, Ekalavya Campus). This event was presided over by Prof. Makhlesh Kumar, Director of Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus.

Dr. Palash Santra, Public Relation Officer of Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus through a press statement said that distinguished guests present on the occasion included Shashikantji, State General Secretary, All India Hindu Parishad who in his speech suggested all to promote Hindi more and more at mass level.  Bimal Kanti Roy, retired IG of Tripura police as Guest of honor highlighted the importance of Hindi in maintaining national integrity. 

Smt. Kalpana Roy, the Chief Whip of Tripura Legislative Assembly and MLA of Teliamura constituency as the Chief Guest of the session stressed on the necessity of decolonizing the mind for proper propagation of Hindi. Guests addressed the gathering with insightful speeches highlighting the importance of Hindi in national integration and contemporary education.

On the occasion of Hindi fortnight various kinds of literary competitions were organized and on the occasion of valedictory session all the winners were felicitated. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and the singing of the National Anthem. Dr. Ashish Mishra (Assistant Professor, Department of Veda Karmakanda and Paurahitya efficiently conducted the proceedings. This two-week celebration of Hindi Pakhwada featured competitions, lectures, and cultural activities aimed at promoting the use of Hindi and enriching linguistic heritage among students and faculty.
