Vision 2047: Charting a Path for a Developed Northeast India at NLU Tripura
The Center for Northeast Studies and Policy Research (CNESPR) at National Law University (NLU), Tripura organized a special lecture on “Viksit Northeast Bharat @2047: An Agenda for Swadeshi and Swavlambi Samridhh Purvottar” by Dr. Deepak Sharma, Registrar of Tripura University.
Dr. Sharma discussed India’s rich cultural heritage, key developmental challenges since Independence, and the immense potential of Northeast India in the Viksit Bharat mission. He emphasized the need for a growth-oriented mindset and encouraged youth to embrace entrepreneurship, becoming job creators rather than job seekers. The session was enriched by an address from Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh, Vice-Chancellor of NLU Tripura, who highlighted the crucial role of young minds in India’s development. Coordinated by Dr. Dipikanta Chakraborty, the event saw active participation from students, faculty, and staff and concluded with an engaging Q&A session.
