Youth get 10 years of imprisonment for attacking his neighbour
The district and session court of Gomati district on Thursday pronounced ten years of rigorous jail term to accused for attacking his neighbour with a sharp weapon disputing land issue.
Public Prosecutor of Gomati district, Saktipada Chakraborty giving details of the case said that disputing land issue on November 26th, 2020, accused youth Taruni Koloi under Natunbazar police station attacked his neighbour daughter Rina Koloi with a sharp weapon and cut his ear and hand.
After the incident Rina Koloi shifted to hospital in critical condition and her brother Rajen Koloi filed an FIR against Taruni Koloi at Natunbazar police station.
After the investigation, the police filed the charge-sheet against Taruni and after long hearing and recording the witnesses, the district and session court of the Gomati district on Thursday pronounced imprisonment of 10 years and a fine of Rs. 10,000 to accused Taruni under section 307 of IPC.
