Youth killed, dumped body in a tributary at West Bhubanban
Body of a youth, who was missing after a club meeting on Saturday night, recovered on Sunday morning with multiple injuries from tributary at West Bhubanban area under West Agartala police station.
Sources said that one Balaram Saha (38), by profession a driver left his home at Chandinamura area of West Bhubanban to join the meeting of his club (Netaji Sangha), but after the meeting he was not returned to his till midnight.
Later, at about 1 AM his father Ratan Kumar Saha along with some other relatives started searching for him in all possible locations, but they did not get his any trace. His father then lodged a missing entry at Ramnagar Town Outpost (TOP).
SDPO (Sadar) Debaprasad Roy giving details of the incident said that police lodged the missing entry and started investigation, but on Sunday morning received information over recovery of an unknown dead body in a tributary located at West Bhubanban.
Police along with Balaram’s father rushed to the spot and identified the body as Balaram Saha. Police also brought the teams of Forensic and dog squad and collected all circumstantial evidence from the crime scheme.
Roy also said that deep cut injuries have been at the head of the deceased youth and police registered the case and started an investigation.
Police added that they suspected that after killing Balaram, assailants dumped his body in the tributary and till the findings of forensic and autopsy reports, they cannot say especially over the nature of the killing and added that the mystery of the incident will soon be solved.
