Zonal drama festival organized by Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus
The Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus at Lembucherra, Tripura, one of the 13 campuses of Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi inaugurated Zonal Rupak mahotsav (Sanskrit Drama Festival) on Thursday within the auspicious presence of Prof. Prahlad Joshi, Vice-chancellor of Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University, Assam as Chief Guest and Prof. Tapan Kumar Maity, Principal of Agriculture College, Tripura as Special Guest.
Prof. Prahlad Joshi in his address highlighted the enriching tradition of the Indian knowledge system in the domain of art and literature whereas Prof. Tapan Kumar Maity appreciated this initiative of the University for promoting Sanskrit art and literature. Prof. Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra, Director of Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, presided over the inaugural session.
In the 2-day long drama festival various institutes from five different states are participating. These institutions are Rajkumaari Ganesh Sharma Sanskrit Vidyapeetham Bihar, Dr. Ramji Meheta Aadarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalay Bihar, Kaliachakbikram kishore Aadarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalay West Bengal, Jagadish Narayan Brahmachari Ashram Aadarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalay Bihar, Sri Ramsundar Sanskrit Vishwavidya pratisthanam Bihar, Sri Sitaram Vedic Aadarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalay, West Bengal, Laxmidevi-shrof-Aadarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalay, Central Sanskrit University, Sadashiv Campus, Puri and Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, Agartala.
