Former US school teacher pleads guilty of having sex with high school boy 20 to 30 times
A former US school teacher in Arkansas has pleaded guilty to having sex with a high school boy 20 to 30 times, police said on Wednesday (January 24, 2024).
"Heather Hare a former Bryant High School teacher has pleaded guilty today in Federal Court to transporting a minor across state lines for the purpose of unlawful sexual activity," Bryant Police posted on Instagram.
"This comes from an investigation last year when Bryant Police received information of sexual misconduct with a student while she was a teacher for Bryant Public Schools," police said.
Police said she will receive sentencing at a later date to be determined by the court.
The teacher first made headlines in 2020 when she was surprised on ”Good Morning America” TV show by students bidding her goodbye as her home economics class was discontinued for distance learning during the pandemic, reported New York Post.

She was arrested last April after a 17-year-old student came forward to report her repeated abuse.
The boy — identified only as “J.R.” — told police that he met Hare on the first day of his senior year at Bryant High School in the fall of 2021, Assistant US Attorney John Ray White told the court hearing as quoted by New York Post.
“Hare began one-on-one counseling sessions with the minor victim, eventually giving him her personal phone number and primarily communicating with him through Instagram and Snapchat,” the prosecutor’s office said.
“At one point, Ms. Hare told J.R. that she had a dream of them having sex,” White said.
According to reports, one of the sexual encounters took place during an April 2022 school trip to Washington DC.
"Between April 21 and April 24, 2022, Hare was the sponsor and chaperone for a field trip to Washington, D.C., as part of an extracurricular activity related to the Family Consumer Science courses Hare taught. During the field trip, which included four students, of which the minor victim was the only male student, Hare and the minor victim engaged in the unlawful sexual activity to which she pleaded guilty," read the US Department of Justice website.
