'Haunted' Annbelle Doll was not present in room where Dan Rivera died
Investigators did not find the allegedly haunted 'The Annabelle Doll' in the hotel room in the US, where paranormal investigator Dan Rivera was found dead recently.
The 54-year-old paranormal investigator was found dead in the hotel room located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
In a Friday, July 18, message to PEOPLE, Francis Dutrow, the Adams County coroner confirmed that the doll was not present when he arrived at the scene on Sunday, July 13, when authorities were notified about Rivera’s death.
Dutrow went on to note that the doll had not been in the hotel room at all.
The 54-year-old paranormal investigator died all of a sudden while touring with the supposedly haunted Annabelle doll, his tour organisers earlier told the media.
According to the New York Post, Dan Rivera, a US Army veteran, was in Pennsylvania on his sold-out "Devils on the Run Tour" when the incident took place.
He died last week, shortly after finishing a three-day sellout stop in Gettysburg, which was hosted by "Ghostly Images of Gettysburg Tours" at the Soldiers National Orphanage, the New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR) said.
According to the Post, Rivera died unexpectedly after completing his tour.
He was touring with the allegedly haunted doll, Annabelle, across the country to various sites.
Firefighters and medics were rushed to his hotel in Gettysburg on Sunday evening following a report of CPR in progress on a male patient.
However, by the time the medics reached the scene, Rivera had died.
The exact cause of the death remains unclear.
Pennsylvania State Police earlier said nothing unusual or suspicious was observed at the scene of Rivera's death.
According to reports, conspiracy theorists have linked his death to the doll.
