In a statement, the IDF identified him as Ibrahim Muhammad Ghazali, saying he managed weapons operations within a specialized branch of the Badr Unit.

“The unit is responsible for launching hundreds of rockets toward Israeli civilians throughout the war,” the IDF wrote on X. It added that Ibrahim was killed when the Israeli Air Force targeted a Hezbollah military facility recently.

The Michigan Incident

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security told CNN that Ayman Ghazali, 41, drove a vehicle into Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township, near Detroit, before exchanging fire with security officers and dying from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The attack occurred amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28, which prompted retaliatory attacks by Tehran on several Gulf cities.

Ayman Ghazali, a naturalized U.S. citizen from Lebanon, had previously been flagged in government databases for connections to suspected Hezbollah members, though officials told CNN he was not believed to be a member himself.
