A New York mother and her two children, including a five-month-old, died after they jumped off Niagara Falls on Monday, police said.

The deceased people were identified as Chianti Means (33), Roman Rossman (9) and Mecca Means(5-months).
Sharing details about the incident, New York State Police said: "On October 28, 2024, at approximately 9:00 P.M., New York State Park Police and the New York State Police, Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded to an incident on or around Goat Island in Niagara Falls, NY."
Police said during an investigation it was found that they crossed over safety guild rail and went over Niagara Falls on Luna Island.
" The investigation has determined that this incident was intentional in nature, though the circumstances remain under investigation," police said in a statement.
"This incident deems no public threat to safety," police said.
As per the LinkedIn page of Chianti Means, she worked as a domestic violence counsellor.
