USA: Shooting in Washington DC leaves five injured
At least five people were injured in a shooting incident in Washington DC on Friday, police said.

The shooting incident occurred just days after a vehicle attack, carried out by a suspected ISIS-inspired lone attacker, in New Orleans city of USA on New Year's Day left at least 14 people dead and several others injured.
Sharing details about the shooting incident in Washington DC, police said on X: "Shooting investigation in the 1500 block of Harry Thomas Way NE.Preliminary: Adult male and adult female located at the scene, transported conscious and breathing. Two additional adult males arrived at a hospital, both conscious and breathing."

Police said detectives have reached the spot and an investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
"A fifth patient, an adult male, was also injured in this incident. Preliminarily, this shooting stemmed from a dispute between known parties," police said, sharing details about the fifth person injured in the shooting.

In the New Orleans attack, the suspect, named Shamsud-Din Jabbar, drove his truck through the crowds and killed at least 14 people before he was shot dead by the police.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation said an ISIS flag was found inside his vehicle.
According to reports, two improvised explosive devices were also found nearby.
