Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. announces new appointments
Kolkata: Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd (HPL) announced key additions to its leadership team with the appointment of Sanjiv Vasudeva as Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Bani Broto Banerjee as Senior Vice President - Business Development, said an official statement.

Sanjiv Vasudeva will lead the Polymers and Chemical divisions in his new role, leveraging over 30 years of rich industry experience in thermoplastics and polymers.
Based in Kolkata, he will work closely with departmental heads and team leaders to drive HPL’s growth and market presence in this crucial sector.
Sanjiv’s illustrious career spans over 30 years, including key leadership positions at global corporations.
His professional journey began at GE Plastics, where he played manufacturing, quality, sales, and marketing roles.
After 16 years with GE, working in the Netherlands and Singapore, he transitioned to SABIC Innovative Plastics, where he served for eight years in various leadership capacities, including Country Commercial Director for India.
Most recently, Sanjiv was Managing Director and CEO of INEOS Styrolution India Ltd. This extensive experience gives us confidence in his ability to lead the Polymers and Chemical divisions at HPL.
In a parallel strategic move, Bani Broto Banerjee has been named Senior Vice President - Business Development, following his successful tenure as Senior Vice President and Head of the Polymers and Chemical business.
His proven leadership, keen business insight, and deep expertise have been instrumental in expanding HPL’s market position, the company said.
In his new role, Bani will play a crucial role in identifying new growth opportunities for HPL, further enhancing the company’s competitive edge and profitability.
“These appointments underscore Haldia Petrochemicals’ commitment to strengthening its leadership and driving growth in key business areas,” the company said.
