Ambareesh Murty, 51, was a bike enthusiast and was on a motorcycle trip from Mumbai to Leh.

He launched Pepperfry in 2011 and was its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

"Extremely devastated to inform that my friend, mentor, brother, soulmate @AmbareeshMurty is no more. Lost him yesterday night to a cardiac arrest at Leh. Please pray for him and for strength to his family and near ones," Shah wrote on X.

According to data from CrunchBase, Murty held a position on the Board of Adonia Hospitality. He graduated from IIM Calcutta in the 1996 batch and earned his Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering in 1994.
