Sensex down by over 200 points
Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Thursday dropped 239 points at 59,505 in opening trade as selling was seen across the board.

The Nifty too slipped 89.05 pts at 17,465.25.
The sensex registered intra-day high and low at 59,826.13 and 59,473.15 pts respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 17,585.25 and 17,465.10 pts respectively.
The Mid Cap fell 1.09 pc and small Cap by 0.65 pc respectively.
In 30 scrips, 8 advanced while 22 declined.
The losers were Asian Paints by 2 pc to Rs 2740, IndusInd Bank by 1.61 pc to Rs 1075.15, Bajaj Finserv by 1.28 pc to Rs 1343.85 and HDFC by 1.04 pc to Rs 2588.
The gainers were HCL Technology by 0.72 pc to Rs 1100.35, Tata Steel by 0.63 pc to Rs 111.85, TCS by 0.61 pc to Rs 3421.20 and Wipro by 0.20 pc to Rs 396.
