Stock market opens in the green with Nifty above 22,250
Mumbai/IBNS: The Indian benchmark indices opened in the green on Monday (Apr 22) with Nifty above 22,250 and Sensex near 73,500, as investors shifted focus from the easing tensions between Israel and Iran to the company earnings.

At the opening bell, Nifty was up 150.75 points (0.68 percent) at 22,297.75 and Sensex was up 344.29 points (0.47 percent) at 73,432.62. About 2018 shares advanced, 352 shares declined, and 122 shares remained unchanged.
Some major gainers on Nifty were BPCL, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance, L&T and Adani Enterprises, while HDFC Bank was one of the major losers.
On Apr 19 (Friday), the NSE Nifty 50 closed 0.70 percent higher at 22,149.80, while the BSE Sensex closed 0.84 percent higher at 73,095.54.
