Bangladesh: Two Indian nationals arrested by BGB when they were attempting to illegally cross border
Two Indian nationals and their Bangladeshi broker were arrested by Border Guard Bangladesh members when they were attempting to enter the country through Phulbari border in Kurigram, media reports said.
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh's (BGB) Battalion-15 of Balarhat camp detained the three and handed them over to Phulbari Police Station last night, Mamunur Rashid, officer-in-charge (OC) of Phulbari police station told The Daily Star.
The incident occurred close to Balatari village near international border pillar number 933.
The detained people were identified as Reshma Mandal, 28, of Purba Bardhaman district, and Sourav Kumar Sapui, 18, of Dakshin 24 Parganas district, India.
The Bangladeshi national was identified as Yusuf Ali, 24.
The BGB has filed a case against them.
