Taking to Twitter, Adhikari said, "I would be visiting the Khadikul Village under the Sahara Panchayat Area in Egra; Purba Medinipur, between 10 am to 10.30 am today, on my way to Simlapal; Bankura district. "
" The Khadikul Village is the cursed place where the gruesome explosion yesterday resulted in charred body parts lying scattered in a grisly manner, " he added.
Adhikari came down heavily on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and demanded a probe by the NIA into the incident.
Referring Banerjee's presser on Tuesday, he said, "WB CM @MamataOfficial who's also the HM was rambling while addressing the press today, regarding the explosion at Egra. "
"3 weird theories could be deduced from her disoriented muddled blabbering:- a) The place of incident is near the Odisha Border. This isn't her sole responsibility. b) 2 months ago the Panchayat which had a TMC majority, was taken over by the BJP and an independent candidate was elected as the Pradhan. c) The perpetrator/accused was arrested by the Police earlier but the Court granted him bail. Also, why was he arrested if he (accused) is a TMC member? " Adhikari questioned.
" My questions to the CM:- a) Since the place is near the Odisha Border, should we blame Shri @Naveen_Odisha Ji & @odisha_police? Is the so called "Odisha Border" an International Border? Should BSF be deployed to maintain Law & Order? b) Is the CM implying that, if any Panchayat is governed by the opposition parties or by independents, the Law & Order duties rests upon the Panchayat & not on the Home Department?
"Has she passed any such law in the Assembly? c) If the perpetrator/accused was arrested earlier and was simultaneously released on bail, then is the CM holding the Hon'ble Court responsible for this incident? " he further asked.
"Also is she admitting that Police never arrests someone who is associated with TMC? From her statement it is clear that the Police; right from the Egra IC to the @MedinipurSp were aware of the "illegal fire cracker factory", how come the Police didn't stop the illegal activities when the accused resumed his operations, " the BJP MLA from Nandigram stated.
"Were they reluctant because a hefty Cut from the profit was being shared with them? " he again questioned.
"The intensity of the blast was so severe that mangled body parts were flung more than 100 metres from the spot. Don't try to paint the event as a "fire cracker factory accident"; even a kid knows that crude bombs were being manufactured ahead of the Panchayat Elections, " Adhikari fumed.
