G20 Presidency belongs to the entire nation: Narendra Modi after all-party meet

New Delhi: Indian PM Narendra Modi on Monday attended the all-party meeting to discuss various aspects relating to India’s G20 Presidency and said the meet remained a 'productive one'.


He said the G20 Presidency belongs to the entire nation.

He said the Presidency will give India an opportunity to showcase the country's culture.

"The All-Party meet on India's G-20 Presidency was a productive one. I thank all leaders who participated in the meeting and shared their insights. This Presidency belongs to the entire nation and will give us the opportunity to showcase our culture," he tweeted.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of teamwork, and sought the cooperation of all leaders in the organization of various G20 events. He pointed out that the G20 Presidency would help showcase parts of India beyond the conventional big metros, thus bringing out the uniqueness of each part of our nation.

Highlighting the large number of visitors who would be coming to India during India’s G20 Presidency, Prime Minister took note of the potential for promoting tourism and boosting the local economies of the venues where G20 meetings would be organized.

Before the Prime Minister spoke, various political leaders shared their valuable insights on India’s G20 Presidency, including J.P. Nadda, Mallikarjun Kharge, Mamata Banerjee, Naveen Patnaik, Arvind Kejriwal, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Sitaram Yechury, Chandrababu Naidu, M. K. Stalin, Edappadi K. Palaniswami,  Pashupatinath Paras, Eknath Shinde and K. M. Kader Mohideen.
