India needs a strong Prime Minister: Uddhav Thackeray slams Modi after Trump imposed 50 percent tariff
Mumbai/IBNS: Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday criticised the Modi government's policies in response to US President Donald Trump's imposition of 50 percent tariff on imports from India.
Speaking to the media, Uddhav has questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming China visit citing the government's move to boycott Chinese products a few years ago.
Uddhav said, "First the Prime Minister must clear who is India's enemy and who is not. For now, it seems India has no friends. The Prime Minister has been touring every corner of the world, perhaps no country is left for him to travel. It is clear that China is backing Pakistan in the conflict with India.
"He has to tell us whether China is our friend or not. He had started boycotting China in the middle. Then why is he travelling to China now? Why are we playing cricket with Pakistan?..."

'India will never compromise': Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said his country won't compromise and he is even "ready to pay heavy personal price" after Trump imposed tariffs on India over buying Russian oil.
"For us, the welfare of our farmers is the highest priority. India will never compromise on the interests of its farmers, livestock rearers, and fisherfolk. I know I will have to pay a heavy personal price for this. But I am ready," Modi said.
"For the fisherfolk of my country, for the livestock rearers of my country — today, India is ready. We are continuously working towards increasing farmers’ income and creating new sources of livelihood," he added.
