Operation Sindoor: Indian all-party delegation meets UAE's leadership

A high-level all-party delegation led by Shiv Sena Dr.Shrikant Eknath Shinde visited the UAE recently when they met the leadership in the Middle East nation to on the significance of Operation Sindoor and reaffirm India’s firmstance against cross-border terrorism.
The UAE wasamong the first countries to issue a statement categoricallycondemning the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

UAE leaders,President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyanand Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, personally conveyed theircondolences to PM Narendra Modi and EAM Dr. S Jaishankar overphone calls.
The delegation comprised Bansuri Swaraj, ETMohmd Basheer, Atul Garg, Shri Sasmit Patra, MananKumar Mishra, Surendrajeet Singh Ahluwalia, and formerAmbassador Sujan Chinoy.
The delegation met with Sheikh NahyanMabarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Co-Existence.
The UAE leader conveyed his deep condolences for the Pahalgamterrorist attacks.
The delegation highlighted the perpetration ofcross-border terrorism and efforts to cause social disharmony inIndia by Pakistan.
The UAE leader said in a statement as quoted by the Indian Embassy in the the country: "India and UAE will tackleterrorism together. The UAE will always stand by India.”
The delegation held substantive discussions with Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior & ForeignAffairs Committee of Federal National Council and other seniorEmirati parliamentarians.
The delegation underscored theprecise, measured, and non-escalatory nature of OperationSindoor against the barbaric terrorist attack on the tourists inKashmir on April 22.
Nuaimi stressed, “India- UAErelationship is beyond trade and culture, and encompassessecurity and strategic issues. Terrorism is against the whole ofhumanity and international community must act now.”
The delegation held discussions with Dr. Jamal Al Kaabi,Director General, National Media Office and addressed concernsover misinformation campaigns emanating from Pakistan.
Theypresented factual evidence to counter the disinformation andexposed Pakistan’s propaganda machinery.
Shrikant Shinde, as the leader of the delegation, gave aninterview to The National, UAE’s leading newspaper, drawing thecomplete timeline of India’s long battle against cross-borderterrorism and setting of new normal by the Prime Minister againstcross-border terrorism with Operation Sindoor.
The day concluded with an interaction with the Indiancommunity based in the UAE recognizing their vital contributionsand reaffirming India’s commitment to its diaspora.
As many as 26 people, mostly non-Muslim tourists, were killed in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam town last month.
