CPI(M) MP John Brittas was also detained along with Vijayan.
‘Delhi is under siege’: John Brittas
In a video message, Brittas said he, Vijayan and senior CPI(M) leader and former Kerala Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal were taken away in a police jeep.
“We were then taken in a police jeep. We were taken round and round in Delhi city. Thereafter, we were taken to Chhatrasal Stadium. After 30–45 minutes, we were again taken to a police jeep. And we don't know where we are going,” Brittas said.
Describing the situation in the national capital, he added, “Delhi is under siege. Delhi has been completely taken over by the Delhi Police. I feel that basic civil liberties are being taken away by the Delhi Police and also the central forces.”
"After holding us at Chhatrasal Stadium for 30–45 minutes, the Delhi Police have put us back in the jeep and taken us away again , we don't even know where! If this is how a former CM is treated, what will be the situation of the common man in this country?" #gyaneshkmuarresign #savedemocracy

Brittas warns Modi, Shah over Gyanesh Kumar
Brittas also issued a warning to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah over their alleged attempts to shield Gyanesh Kumar.
“If PM Modi and Amit Shah think that they can protect Gyanesh Kumar, let us warn them that they also will sink along with Gyanesh Kumar. No fascist who has panicked and resorted to force has survived in history,” he said.
