Shock in Madhya Pradesh police! Senior DSP allegedly caught on CCTV stealing cash, phone
In an unprecedented case that has shaken the Madhya Pradesh Police Department, a senior woman officer has been accused of theft.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kalpana Raghuvanshi, posted at the Police Headquarters in Bhopal, faces allegations of stealing Rs 2 lakh in cash and a mobile phone from the home of a friend, media reports said.
The incident reportedly occurred in the Jahangirabad police station area, raising serious concerns about integrity and accountability within the state police force.
According to the complaint, the victim had left her mobile phone charging and briefly stepped away to take a bath. During this time, DSP Raghuvanshi allegedly entered the house and took the cash and another phone from the complainant’s handbag.
When the woman returned, both the money and the phone were missing. CCTV footage reportedly captured Raghuvanshi entering and leaving the house, holding a bundle of currency notes.

Shocked by the incident, the complainant lodged a formal complaint with the police, prompting a case of theft to be registered against the DSP.
According to reports, Raghuvanshi is currently absconding, and multiple search operations are underway to locate her. Additional Superintendent of Police Bittu Sharma stated:
The complainant’s mobile phone has been recovered from the accused’s home, said reports. However, the Rs 2 lakh in cash remains untraced.
Departmental action underway
The Police Headquarters has issued a departmental notice to DSP Raghuvanshi, and preparations for disciplinary proceedings are in progress.
The case has caused shockwaves within the police establishment and provoked public outrage.
Senior officers have stressed the need for a strict and transparent investigation, assuring that no officer will be shielded from accountability.
