The plea states Indore-based company JK Enterprises, which manufactures beverages under the brand name of 'London Pride', has been allegedly infringing on the trademark of Blenders Pride, which is owned by Pernod Ricard India Pvt Ltd.

Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, who appeared for Pernod Ricard, gave some empty whiskey bottles of both the companies to the bench comprising Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Mishra.

Handing over the bottles, the counsel claimed even the size of the bottles were the same.

The plea was filed before the top court after the Madhya Pradesh High Court in November last year rejected Pernod Ricard's appeal to stop the sale of whiskeys manufactured by London Pride.
