New Delhi/IBNS: In a huge relief for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Supreme Court on Friday granted bail to former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the liquor policy case, 18 months after he was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The top court has blasted the lower courts for not giving him bail calling it a "violation of fundamental rights".

"Incarceration of 18 months... Trial not having even commenced and appellant has been deprived of right to speedy trial," Justice BR Gavai said as quoted by NDTV.
