'Where is the disrespect?': Congress defends controversial AI video featuring PM Modi and his mother, counters BJP's anger
New Delhi/IBNS: The Congress has defended its Bihar unit's AI video featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother Heeraben Modi after the content has irked the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the run-up to the assembly elections in the state.
Speaking to ANI, Congress leader Pawan Khera said, "Where is the disrespect shown to his late mother? Show me one word, one gesture, anywhere where you see disrespect. It is the duty of the parents to educate their children. She is only educating her child and if the child thinks that it is disrespectful towards him, it is his headache not mine not yours.
"Why does the BJP try to make an issue out of everything and try to generate fake sympathy? There is no fake sympathy for these things anymore. Mr Modi cannot do a 'touch me not' politics, he is in politics and he needs to take everything, even a sense of humour of the opposition properly and actually there is no humour in it, there is 'naseehat' in this"

The AI generated video shows Modi goes to sleep saying he completed "vote chori" for the day.
Then Heeraben Modi appears in the Prime Minister's dream where she slams her son for using her name for the sake of votes.

Hitting back at the Congress, BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya wrote on X, "The late mother of the first Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji was abused from the Congress-RJD platform.
"Now, a video of her is being made to insult her. This makes one thing clear: that the Prime Minister's mother is being abused on Rahul Gandhi's instructions. This is the height of Congress's cheap politics."

The AI video came days after a massive row erupted over abuses hurled against the two from the RJD-Congress dais.
A man identified as Rizwi alias Raja had shouted abusive slogans against the Prime Minister and his late mother at the rally which was conducted by the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
The incident occurred during the Vote Adhikaar Yatra which was spearheaded by Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition cum Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and RJD top leader Tejashwi Yadav.
