Summer special trains to run at NFR to accommodate extra passenger rush

Guwahati: At Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), to accommodate the extra footfall of passengers during this upcoming summer of 2025, it has been decided to operate additional (05) five pairs of summer special trains. The trains will run between Guwahati-Shri Ganganagar stations from 21st May till 29th June, 2025, New Jalpaiguri-Ayodhya Cantt. stations from 18th May till 30th June, 2025, Kamakhya-Anand Vihar Terminal from 11th April till 27th April, 2025, Katihar-Amritsar stations from 21st May till 27th June, 2025 and New Tinsukia- SMVT Bengaluru stations from 17th April till 29th June, 2025.
Special train no. 05636 (Guwahati – Shri Ganganagar) Summer special will depart from Guwahati at 18:15 hours from 21st May, 2025 (Wednesday) to reach Shri Ganganagar at 03:30 hours on Saturday. Similarly, train no. 05635 (Shri Ganganagar - Guwahati) Summer Special will depart from Shri Ganganagar at 13:20 hours from 25th May, 2025 (Sunday) to reach Guwahati 00:25 hours on Wednesday. Both the trains will run for 06 trips.
Special train no. 05742 (New Jalpaiguri – Ayodhya Cantt.) Summer special will depart from New Jalpaiguri at 13:40 hours from 18th May, 2025 (Sunday) to reach Ayodhya Cantt. at 09:30 hours on Monday. Similarly, train no. 05741 (Ayodhya Cantt. – New Jalpaiguri) Summer Special will depart from Ayodhya Cantt. at 11:40 hours from 19th May, 2025 (Monday) to reach New Jalpaiguri at 09:30 hours on Tuesday. Both the trains will run for 07 trips.
Special train no. 02525 (Kamakhya – Anand Vihar Terminal) Summer special is running from 11th April, 2025 (Friday) leaving Kamakhya at 22:45 hours to reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 08:50 hours on Sunday. Similarly, train no. 02526 (Anand Vihar Terminal–Kamakhya) Summer Special is running from 13th April, 2025 (Sunday) leaving Anand Vihar Terminal at 17:20 hours to reach Kamakhya at 03:40 hours on Tuesday. Both the trains are running for 03 trips.
Special train no. 05736 (Katihar – Amritsar) Summer Special will depart from Katihar at 21:00 hours from 21st May, 2025 (Wednesday) to reach Amritsar at 09:45 hours on Friday. Similarly, train no. 05735 (Amritsar - Katihar) Summer Special will depart from Amritsar at 13:25 hours on 23rd May, 2025 (Friday) to reach Katihar at 23:45 hours on Saturday. Both the trains will run for 06 trips.
Special train no. 05952 (New Tinsukia-SMVT Bengaluru) Summer Special will depart from New Tinsukia at 18:45 hours on 17th April, 2025 (Thursday) to reach SMVT Bengaluru at 09:00 hours on Sunday. Similarly, train no. 05951 (SMVT Bengaluru – New Tinsukia) Summer Special will depart from SMVT Bengaluru at 23:20 hours on 20th April, 2025 (Sunday) to reach New Tinsukia at 13:50 hours on Wednesday. Both the trains will run for 11 trips.
