'Age doesn't matter my friend...': Ashish Vidyarthi on his marriage with Rupali Barua
Mumbai/IBNS: Popular actor Ashish Vidyarthi on Thursday took social media by storm, tying the nuptial knot with fashion entrepreneur Rupali Barua at the age of 57.

A day after he got married for the second time, Vidyarthi came out on social media to narrate how he got in touch with Barua, who is from Assam, and decided to marry.
Vidyarthi said, "I had a firm belief that I want to get married because I want to travel with somebody. So, I literally get the word out in the universe. I was at that point 55 and I said I want somebody to get married to. And that’s how I met Rupali Barua.
"We got chatting, we met a year back and then we discovered something interesting about one another and we thought we could be walking together as husband and wife and therefore, Rupali and I got married. She is 50 and I am 57, not 60, but age doesn’t matter my friend. Each one of us can be happy, whatever the age."
The photos from the intimate ceremony have been shared by several Bollywood fan pages.
In the pictures, Ashish Vidyarthi and his wife Rupali Barua can be seen twinning in traditional white outfits as they smile for the snaps.
Vidyarthi was previously married to Bengali actor Shakuntala Barua's daughter Rajoshi with whom he has a son named Arth.
Sharing why he and Rajoshi decided to end their marriage, Ashish Vidyarthi said, "22 years back Piloo and I met and we got married. Well, it was an amazing one. We had Arth who is now 22, he is working.
"But somehow for the last few years, Piloo and I discovered that after this beautiful inning that we played together, we felt how we saw the future was slightly different from one another."
Vidyarthi said though he and his then wife tried to iron out the differences but they felt that would lead to imposition of one on the other sacrificing "happiness".
"If we can’t walk together amicably, let’s walk separately but remain amicable," Ashish Vidyarthi said and added they parted ways with "grace".
