Akshay Kumar urges Yogi Adityanath to watch his film 'Ram Setu'
Mumbai/UNI: Actor Akshay Kumar met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday and discussed the much-anticipated film city project in Uttar Pradesh, as the latter is in Mumbai for a two-day visit.
He also discussed his most recent movie, Ram Setu and appealed to CM Yogi to watch it.
During his round 35-minute-long meeting, Akshay informed CM Yogi that there is a great deal of excitement in the Indian film industry about the film city of an UP and many big production houses, producers, directors and actors are waiting for it.
He said that the development of a world-class film and infotainment city in UP will provide a new option to the cinematic world.
He also discussed with Yogi the research and preparations are done before finalising the script of Ram Setu and said that the CM must watch this film once.
On this occasion, CM Yogi said that cinema has a big role in raising public awareness. "Filmmakers should give importance to the issues of social and national consciousness while selecting the subjects," he said.
The CM said that the film city of UP will be at par with global standards.
"Besides, a new film policy is being prepared. For the convenience of the producers it has also been linked to the single window system," he said.
On this occasion, CM Yogi also invited Akshay Kumar to visit UP.
