JLO files for divorce from Ben Affleck just two years after fairytale marriage
Ending all speculations, actors Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are divorcing just two years after they were married.
Lopez filed for divorce on Tuesday in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, BBC reported quoting court documents.
The couple married in Las Vegas in 2022 and hosted a grand wedding ceremony in Georgia later.
The divorce marked the last chapter in their love story which dates back to 2003.
According to reports, Lopez and Affleck fell in love in 2003 when they first met on the set of the comedy movie Gigli.
Despite speculation that they would get married soon, the couple then announced they were parting ways in 2004.
Their love story took a new turn in 2021 when they decided to rekindle their romantic bond.
“Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,” Lopez said in 2022 after announcing the Las Vegas wedding as quoted by BBC.
Affleck, one of the most popular actors in Hollywood, was earlier married to Jennifer Garner.
The couple decided to end their marriage in 2015. They share three children together.
Lopez married four times in her life.
Her first husband was Cuban-born waiter Ojani Noa. She later married back-up dancer Cris Judd and their marriage lasted between 2001-03.
Lopez, who is also a popular singer, tied the knot with Marc Anthony. They share twins.
