'Love is a form of admiration': Actor Sheena Chohan shares note on Valentine's Day
On a day the entire world is celebrating Valentine's Day with their loved ones, actor Sheena Chohan steps forward to share a note for all her fans and followers.
Speaking to IBNS on Valentine's Day, Sheena said, "Love is a form of admiration. Actually, it’s the admiration that’s the important and beautiful part - it’s vital to admire those we love and tell them so regularly."
She then adds, "Admiration, a heavy level of admiration, betokens a sort of respect. If you really admired somebody—if you really admired somebody, you'd have to have some understanding of existence and some understanding of him or her. And believe me, it would have a lot more pleasantness and a lot more duration than this thing called 'love.'."
"Admiration is to admire existence, to find interest, pleasant interest or pleasant excitement in life itself, its motion and action; to be able to respect and admire livingness in a thing rather than to trap and cage that livingness for possession. And that would be the difference between love and admiration," she further says.
On the work front, Sheena was last seen in Madhuri Dixit Nene starrer The Fame Game and web show ex-Mates.
She will soon be seen in a Hindi film as well.
Besides her acting profession, Sheena is continuing with her human rights activism.
In a recent interview with IBNS, Sheena, while speaking on her human rights works, had said, "Actually I had the office of the High Commissioner of Human Rights at the United Nations reach out to me in late December, as the first Indian they thought of to help promote the 75th anniversary of the United Nations Universal Declaration on Human Rights, so I'm looking forward to working more with his office later this year.
"These days there is nothing more important than every Indian knowing the content of the Constitution of India and the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, so I encourage everyone to do the free online course here: www.humanrights.com/course
