YouTuber finds Dhurandhar's pirated copies being sold in Pakistan for just Rs 16
YouTuber Karl Rock, based in India, recently posted a video on social media where he showed pirated copies of Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar, which is banned in Pakistan, being sold in Karachi's Rainbow Centre.
The region is known as a hub for pirated content in the country.
Rock revealed that the movie was being sold in the South Asian country for PKR 50 (approx. Rs 16).
In the video, Rock said: "Indian films are banned in Pakistan, but look what I found."
Showing a shop selling a pirated copy of the hit movie, Rock asked the seller about the price.
"It is selling for PKR 50," the shopkeeper replied.
After charming audiences across India, the movie hit Netflix on January 30.
The high-octane spy movie topped the streaming service's weekly Top 10 list in both India and Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Indian social media users expressed amazement on the love the action thriller earned in Pakistan despite the government banning Indian movies in the country.
One social media user wrote: " A film bashing Pakistan is being loved in Pakistan."
Another said: "It was trending no 1 in Netflix Pakistan."
Starring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, Dhurandhar is directed by Aditya Dhar.
The sequel to the film, titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is scheduled for release in cinemas on March 19.
