Arsenal CEO Vinai Venkatesham to step down next summer
Arsenal CEO Vinai Venkatesham announced that he will step down from the post next summer, after 14 years of association to pursue "another challenge".

Venkatesham was appointed to his current role in September 2020 after his previous role as the managing director of the club.
It was during his term that a once-chaotic organisation turned into one of the Premier League’s most smoothly-run clubs.
“This was a tough decision, but it is time to pursue another challenge,” Venkatesham told The Guardian.
“Now is not the time for goodbyes as I remain focused until my last day and support a seamless transition," the CEO said.
Josh Kroenke, Arsenal's co-chair told The Guardian, “The board is fully supportive of Vinai's desire to pursue his next challenge."
“Whilst it is business as usual with everyone focused on the season ahead, we’d like to take this moment to thank him for his contribution and long service. Vinai will always be part of the Arsenal family and always welcome back at Emirates Stadium."
“Change and succession is something the club is well prepared for. The board remains committed to our strategy and will address leadership change as we continue to drive the club forward," Kroenke further said.
Vinai Venkatesham began his tenure at Arsenal in 2010 as Head of Global Partnerships and subsequently held various positions, including Director of Global Partnerships and Business Strategy, Sales and Marketing Director, and Chief Commercial Officer.
Following Ivan Gazidis' departure to AC Milan in 2018, Venkatesham assumed the role of Managing Director at Arsenal and was later appointed as the Chief Executive Officer in 2020.
He also serves as a board member of the European Club Association (ECA), a board member of the UCC SA (a joint venture between UEFA and the ECA), and as a Non-executive Director of the British Olympic Association.
