BJP observed foundation day, launches programmes for LS campaign
The ruling BJP on Thursday observed its 44th Foundation Day when the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and party’s state president Rajib Bhattacharjee hoisted the party flag in the state headquarters at Agartala.
Similarly the programmes were organized and observed the day in all the party offices across the state which is considered as the party's beginning of campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. All the leaders also were present in the party offices to hear the address of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
BJP sources said that the party has taken a 7-day program to observe the foundation day where the main spirit is Seva-E-Sangathan (Service is organization). During this period the party will organize blood donation camp, Eye donation camp and various social activities.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha before living for Dibrughar in Assam attended a blood donation camp at BT ground of Kumaritilla area being organized by 6 Agartala Mandal where he said "I am happy to see that the appeal of blood donation I made is being respected by all. It is especially the young generation who has come forward to donate blood."
He has also made an appeal to those who have not yet donated blood to donate some voluntarily quickly as blood is the only thing which can save the life of a serious patient. There is no alternative to blood donation and this kind of blood donation can solve the crisis of blood in the blood banks.
The Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has also congratulated and conveyed his best wishes to all the BJP workers of the state on this occasion. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also gave a speech on this occasion for the Karyakartas of the country and it was telecasted live which was also attended by the Chief Minister along with other leaders in the State BJP office on this day.
The state president of BJP Rajib Bhattacharjee, AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder, General Secretary of state unit of BJP Papia Datta and few others were present in the blood donation camp.
