CM condoles demise of prominent poet, cultural personality Manas Debbarman
Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha has expressed profound grief over the passing of eminent poet, writer, and cultural figure Manas Debbarman on Monday.
Dr Saha paid his last respects to the late poet at Battala Crematorium ground following the news of this tragic event.
In his condolence message, Dr Saha described Manas Debbarman as a distinguished poet, writer, and socially conscious creative personality of the state.
He acknowledged Debbarman's contributions not only as a college educator but also in his roles as Chairman of the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) and Member of the UPSC.
Dr Saha noted that the state has lost a significant cultural figure and a veteran patron with his passing.
The Chief Minister wished eternal peace to the departed soul and extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
On a social media post, Dr Saha conveyed his deep sorrow, highlighting Manas Debbarman’s remarkable contributions as a poet, writer, and socially minded individual. He reiterated Debbarman's impact through his academic work and esteemed positions, emphasizing the loss felt by the state.
