Cong claimed exit polls only showing fake and agenda based figures
The opposition Congress congratulating the people of the state , ECI and civil and police administration for peaceful voting with high turnout claimed that ruling BJP was trying to confuse the people by showing fake and agenda based exit polls in favour of BJP.
Addressing a press conference here at Congress Bhavan on Monday afternoon, senior Congress leader Sudip Roy Barman accompanied by Pradesh Congress president Birajit Sinha said that 2023 assembly elections vote for change and people with clear mindset have voted largely standing in long queues for hours only to restore the democracy.
He said that BJP with their machinery and by purchasing the slot of telecast are trying to confuse the people of Tripura by exhibiting fake exit polls in favour of them to maintain the morale of their supporters.
But, in reality after announcement of poll results on March 2nd, the BJP will consist in single digits and with a huge mandate the Left Front and Congress alliance will voted to power to restore the rules of law, peace and democracy in the state, said Sudip.
He said that as per standard rules of exit polls, the agencies or organizations have to take samples of voter’s opinion at the polling booths, but nobody in the state had seen any kind of such arrangements to take samples of voting from voters. So these are fake and bogus campaigns against the opposition to terrorize the people of the state, claimed Sudip and added that the ruling BJP is trying to terrorize the counting agents of opposition parties.
He hoped that such a tactic will not affect the opposition workers and has also appealed to the people of the state to maintain peace and harmony in their respective localities after poll results.
