Congress appeals to party workers, leaders to start poll activities with alliance partners
Tripura Pradesh Congress President Birajit Sinha has appealed to all his party workers, leaders and supporters to forget all their doubts and participate in the fight to make united struggle of both Congress and Left parties to ensure the defeat of BJP.
Sinha, through a circular after withdrawal process of nomination urged party workers to devote wholeheartedly to defeat the BJP-IPFT coalition government. He also appealed to the peace loving people of the state to support the united struggle to restore the atmosphere of peace in the state.
Soon after finalization of seat adjustment among Left Front and Congress, Sinha issued the statement and said that the unanimous decision of the Congress and the Left Front to contest after the seat compromise to end the BJP-IPFT coalition government, to bring back democracy and destroy the communal forces, was honored by both the parties with due dignity.
He said that on Thursday, the Congress withdrew its candidates from three additional seats and the LF from an additional 13 seats , preparing to free the people of the state from this BJP misrule.
Sinha also directed all district, block and Mandal presidents of TPCC to continue their respective pre-poll preparatory activities with strong coordination with LF parties leaders and workers.
