Five Bangla nationals de-boarded from Hum Safar express
Five Bangladesh nationals were detained from Hum Safar express in Dharmanagar railway station on Saturday on their journey towards Bangalore from Agartala railway station.
Police sources said that based on secret information, a contingent Railway Protection Force (RPF) raided the ‘Hum Safar’ express when the train arrived at Dharmanagar station on Saturday morning from Agartala.
Based on information shared by the RPF Agartala station, the Dharmanagar unit of RPF started a search operation in a specific compartment of the train and detained five suspected Bangla nationals including three male and two female.
RPF sources added that during preliminary interrogation, detained persons revealed that they are the citizens of Bangladesh and without any valid documents they entered into Indian territory to go to Bangalore for jobs. Detained Bangla nationals were identified as Rafikul, Safikul Islam, Shah Ali Sheikh, Mamataz Aktar and Rozina Begam and they entered Agartala through bordering areas near Amtali with the help of agents.
