Day before arrival of Tipra-Motha chairman Pradyot Kishore Debbarma in Agartala on Monday, the state secretary of CPI(M) Jitendra Chowdhury along with Pradesh Congress president Birajit Sinha and party MLA Sudip Roy Barman on Sunday met Pradyot at his Shillong residence in presence of the president of Tipra-Motha Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhawal and had lunch together.
While, the Motha sources said that all three leaders visited Shillong to meet Pradyot Kishore as he was unwell.
On Monday , Pradyot Kishore is return back to Agartala after a long gap during which he underwent treatment in Mumbai and Delhi. He was in Shillong improving from illness for a long time. The workers and supporters of ‘Tipra Motha’ are preparing to accord a massive reception to Pradyot kishore, as part of which hundreds of motor bike borne workers and supporters of the YTF will bring Pradyot Kishore to royal ‘Ujjayanta Palace’ in a rally from Agartala airport. Pradyot will also address a massive rally of ‘Tipra Motha’s women front TWF at Khumulwng .
Motha sources said that after addressing the rally Pradyot Kishore will hold a meeting with the executive committee of the party to take a policy decision on alliances that ‘Motha’ should join.
Tipra-Motha described the visit of three leaders in Shillong as non-political but the meeting assumed very significance as after returning to Agartala, Motha chief Pradyot Kishore reportedly all set to join the opposition alliance with CPI(M) and Congress.
It may be recalled here that the pre-poll alliance among CPI(M) and Congress has been finalized and both parties are working for seat adjustment.
