Major administrative reshuffle: Three IGPs, 3 DIGs, 8 SPs transferred
In a major administrative reshuffle, altogether 13 senior IPS officers and three TPS Grade-I officers were transferred and posted in different wings of Tripura police.
The General Administration (personnel and Training) department through a notification issued on April 22nd said that incumbent IGP (Crime & Intelligence) G S Rao has been transferred as IGP (TSR & operations) and present IGP (TSR & Ops) Soumitra Dhar transferred as new IGP of Law and Order.
The incumbent IGP (law and order) L Darlong has been transferred as IGP for Crime and Intelligence. While, on return from inter-state deputation IPS officer Ipper Manchak Dnyanoba has been transferred as DIG for both Southern and Northern Range. Similarly, on return from inter-state deputation Avula Ramesh Reddy has been transferred as DIG (headquarters), newly promoted DIG Krishnendu Chakravertty, who is looking after the charges of SP (Special Branch and Vigilance) has transferred as in-charge DIG of Crime and Intelligence along with additional charges of SP(SB and Vigilance).
Incumbent AIGP (headquarters) Sudipta Das has been transferred as SP (Economic Offences) and present SP (West Tripura) Sankar Debnath has been transferred as AIGP (headquarters).
Present SP of North Tripura district Kiran Kumar K has been transferred as new SP of West Tripura district, senior TPS-grade-I officer and SP (Serious crime and economic offences) Bhanupada Chakraborty has been transferred as SP(North) and IPS officer Rati Ranjan Debnath, who is holding the charges of SP(Khowai) has been transferred as SP (serious Crime).
SD(Dhalai) Ramesh Chandra Yadav has been transferred as SP(Khowai) and additional SP (Rural of West Tripura) Avinash Rai has been transferred as SP(Dhalai).
Senior TPS grade-I officer and incumbent commandant of TSR 1st battalion, Manik Das has been transferred as SP(Traffic) and present SP(Traffic) R Darlong has been attached to police headquarters.
Meanwhile, another IPS officer and incumbent SDPO(Sabroom) Namit Pathak has been transferred as additional SP(Rural) in West Tripura district.
