Massive fire incident, two houses completely gutted at Advisor Choumohani
In a devastating fire incident, two houses located in a thickly populated area of Advisor Choumohani area of Agartala city near state BJP office has completely gutted with losses huge amounts of household properties.
Fire Service sources said that the incident was reported at about 1.40 PM and immediately firefighters rushed to the house of one Pranati Debbarma adjacent to the state office of BJP.
Sources said that fire erupted after a burst of LPG cylinders and within minutes, the engulfment gripped the two houses. After a few minutes before the arrival of fire-fighters, another LPG cylinder busted and heavy flames of fire totally gripped two houses.
Later, more fire tender vehicles from adjoining fire stations of the city also rushed to the spot and after fighting for an hour, the fire fighters managed to douse the fire.
Speaking with media person Sub-Officer Ratan Kumar Saha of Agartala fire station said that a total 5 fire tender vehicles controlled the heavy flames. He said that initial investigation suggests that a massive fire broke-out after burst of LPG cylinder . Saha also said that so far they are not accessing the losses of properties, but added that a huge amount of house-hold properties has completely gutted into ashes.
