Minor wife body cut into pieces by her husband, dumped body in an arum field
In a brutal and heartrending incident, a 15 years old housewife's body was recovered in pieces from an arum field from Muslim Para area of Aralia under East Agartala police station on Friday evening.
Police sources said that since Friday afternoon, both husband Kayer Miah (25) and his wife Tanuja Begum (15) were missing from their house, located in the thickly populated Muslim Para area of Aralia. Sensing some trouble, local people informed the relatives of Tanuja Begum and soon after their arrival; local villagers entered the house and found several blood stains.
They immediately informed the police and a team of police personnel led by SDPO (Sadar) Ashish Dasgupta rushed to the spot. Police brought the forensic team and dog squad and started searching for the body of the missing girl. The police team found lots of blood stain clothes poured into an abandoned toilet.
By the time, SP (West) Kiran Kumar Reddy also rushed to the spot and launched a massive manhunt to trace the suspected accused husband.
Reddy speaking with media persons said that with four hours of the report, the police team led by SDPO (Sadar) managed to detain suspected accused husband Kayer Miah from Battala area and based on his confessional statement, they started searching the body at river Howrah in Battala area. But, could not find the body of the slain girl.
Later, after thorough interrogation, the killer husband revealed that on Thursday night he killed his wife by beheading her and dumped the body into two bags into an arum field near his house.
Then, the police team led by the SP (West) Kiran Kumar Reddy launched a search operation in Muslim Para area and found the body in pieces in the arum field.
Reddy said that they recovered the body of the slain girl in two pieces and the accused husband dumped the beheaded head of the girl and the remaining portion of the body.
He said that after interrogation, the police team can ascertain the modus of the crime and are there any more accomplices involved in the brutal murder. Police shifted the body to GB Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Reddy also congratulated the investigation police team of Agartala for recovering the body and arresting the accused husband within four hours of report.
