Smart training facilities for smarter administration is need of hours, CM
State government aims to build Digital Tripura and for this purpose, the inauguration of Smart Training Center is a unique step, said Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha after inaugurating the state-of-art Smart Training Center & training on Digital Tripura Initiatives on Monday at IT Bhavan, Indranagar.
He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called upon everyone to build Digital India. And it would not be possible unless all the states of the country become digital. That is why, the Smart Training Center with modern facilities has been opened in the state. The Chief Minister also said, our government believes in transparency.
While, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet said “Good to see Tripura making determined efforts to embrace technology and bring a positive difference in the lives of citizens.”
This initiative has been commenced for making all administrative works transparent, fast and paperless. The Nodal Officers of all government departments will be brought under Smart Training by the end of the year. The Chief Minister lauded the modern facilitated infrastructure of the Smart Training Center with the initiative of the IT department.
Information Technology Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said, an ample amount of work has been implemented in the IT sector in the last 5 years. The Smart Training Center being inaugurated today is a historic day in the state’s IT sector. The Information Technology department is working to provide internet service to different Panchayats and Village Committees of the state. He said administrative works would be transparent and paperless as a result of building Digital Tripura.
Chief Secretary JK Sinha also spoke on the occasion. Welcome speech was delivered by Principal Secretary of IT department Puneet Agarwal. Vote of thanks was delivered to the Director of IT department N. Naresh Babu. Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Tripura, Kiran Gitte was also present in the programme.The training program of 60 Nodal Officers from different departments has also started on Monday. This modern facilitated training center consists of video conferencing system, digital podium, interactive display panel including OPS (Open Pluggable System), display panel cum laptop with wireless keyboard for hands on training, sound amplifier and speakers, wireless conference system delegate system and controller, wireless conference system delegate unit, wireless conference system chairman unit, wireless conference system battery charger, wireless conference system AP transmitter, all-in-one desktop, sound proof acoustic system etc.
