Sudha Murty, chairperson of Infosys in state, met CM
Sudha Murty , the chairperson of Infosys Foundation is currently visiting Tripura and on Saturday she met the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha at his official residence of the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha .
The Chief Minister was very much pleased after meeting her and in a social media post said ‘’Met Eminent Educator, Philanthropist, Author, Chairperson of Infosys Foundation and Padma Bhushan Awardee Smt. Sudha Murthy Ji at my official residence in Agartala, Tripura. Her unprecedented contribution in areas like social service & women empowerment is inspiration for society.’’
Sudha Murty is married to the co-founder of Infosys, N. R. Narayana Murthy. Murty was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in India, for social work by the government of India in 2006. Later in 2023, she was awarded the Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian award in India.
Official sources said she came here on a seven-day visit. Today she visited Tripura Sundari temple in Udaipur and offered puja. On Sunday, she is supposed to visit Unakoti in Kailashahar. Sources said during her stay in the state, she will visit many tourist and religious places.
