The dreams of Prime Minister Narendra Modi “Haar Ghar Makhan” are now become a reality for the people of Tripura as majority of the eligible families are getting ‘Pucca’ houses under PMAY scheme, said Chowdhury and added that under PMAY-Urban, altogether 87,000 houses were sanctioned and among these, the construction works of 53,000 houses have already been completed.
He said that with sanctioning of 1, 30, 695 houses, all eligible beneficiaries will be covered and the majority of the state’s families will have their own Pucca house.
Chowdhury also said that so far Tripura has received above 3 lakh houses under both categories of Rural and Urban of PMAY. With the construction of remaining sanctioned houses, the socio-economic status of rural Tripura will be improved and it will also generate more employment opportunities and a boost in construction material business.
