Vande Bharat express soon in state to boost transport network: CM
Four-lane upgrade for Agartala–Udaipur road soon: CM
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Friday said that a new development campaign has begun in the state under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said that the Central and State Governments are working together to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person in society.
Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha made these remarks while virtually laying the foundation stones of three projects in Udaipur on Friday.
He said that these projects will not only open new horizons in terms of infrastructure development but also contribute to environmental protection, urbanization, and economic progress.
Dr Saha also expressed hope that India will reach the peak of development by 2047 and called upon everyone to participate in achieving this goal.
The Chief Minister said that the present government is implementing programs swiftly and stands by the people in their happiness and sorrow.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi's goal is the overall development of the poor, farmers, women, and youth. As an honest guardian of the country, he has kept the nation safe by confronting all kinds of conspiracies. Various projects worth about Rs 1,300 crore are currently underway in Tripura,” he said.
Dr Saha stated that a paperless administrative system has been introduced from the Secretariat to the Panchayat level.
“After Goa and Mizoram, Tripura has achieved the status of a fully literate state. The state has won 347 awards at the national and regional levels. The Vande Bharat Express will be launched soon to improve the transport system. Work on upgrading the road from Agartala to Udaipur to four lanes will also begin,” Dr. Saha said.
He said that the government's goal is not only the development of Agartala but also the equal development of the entire state.
Dr Saha also announced plans to set up an Ayurvedic hospital in Tepania, Udaipur.
He said that currently 450 students in the state are getting the opportunity to study MBBS and 63 BDS.
“Initiatives have been taken to set up a health university. He also expressed hope that investments of about Rs 15,000 crore will come in the coming days. The state currently has about 923 km of national highways, which was only 198 km earlier,” he added.
The event was attended by Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy; MLAs Abhishek Debroy, Rampada Jamatia, and Jitendra Majumder; Udaipur Municipal Council Chairman Shital Chandra Majumder; TUDA Director Mihir Kanti Gupta; Gomati Superintendent of Police Dr. Kiran Kumar K; and others.
