Pakistan: Balochistan Minister says 10 lakh undocumented immigrants will be repatriated by end of January 2024
Balochistan Caretaker Minister for Information Jan Achakzai has said 10 lakh undocumented immigrants will soon be repatriated from the country by the end of January 2024.
Addressing a news conference at Quetta Press Club in the city on Wednesday, he was quoted as saying by The News International that the second phase of repatriating undocumented immigrants had commenced.
He said, “Till now, more than 120,000 illegal immigrants have been repatriated.”
He said about 2,000 immigrants without legal documents had been detained across the province during the crackdown on illegal immigrants across Balochistan.
An operation against undocumented immigrants including Afghan citizens was in progress without any discrimination, said Achakzai.
