Trump teases Mark Zuckerberg over his 'political career' commencement, Meta chief rejects proposal
US President Donald Trump joked with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg at the White House dinner with tech leaders, saying that this would be the beginning of his "political career" when the Facebook founder was asked about free speech in Britain.
To the question, the tech founder was quick to say, "No, it's not".
On Thursday evening, a reporter asked Zuckerberg about free speech concerns in Britain, President Trump quipped, "This is the beginning of your political career".
Responding to the President's comment, Zuckerberg retorted, "No, it's not".
Trump then proceeded to answer the reporter's question.
According to CNN, Zuckerberg told Trump that he "wasn't ready" to answer a question from reporters. As reporters left the room, the tech CEO said, "Sorry, I wasn't ready".

While the guest list included giants like Bill Gates, Tim Cook, Mark Zuckerberg, and Sergey Brin, what stood out was the strong presence of five Indian-origin executives—Google’s Sundar Pichai, Microsoft’s Satya Nadella, IBM’s Arvind Krishna, Micron Technology’s Sanjay Mehrotra, and TIBCO Software’s Vivek Ranadivé.
Their inclusion highlights the growing clout of Indian Americans in shaping global technology and artificial intelligence.
