IABCA returns to India with 'dynamic program' next month, Piyush Goyal to participate
The India Australia Business & Community Alliance (IABCA), supported by Centre of Australia India Relations (DFAT), will deliver its 'dynamic program' to date, bringing together over 100 finalists, trade delegations, senior ministers, and cultural leaders for the 2025 IABCA India Immersion Week.

The program, supported by the Centre for Australia–India Relations (DFAT), will align closely with the Australia–India Economic Roadmap Superhighways and showcase 7 high-impact events over 4 days in New Delhi and Mumbai.
Major Government and Industry Engagement
"Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, confirmed to attend," read a statement issued by the organisers.
"Green Growth Superhighways Panel at the Global Leaders Forum, led by the Australia India CEO Forum, Business Council of Australia, featuring the Australian High Commissioner to India, Philip Green OAM, alongside renewable energy leaders from both nations, spotlighting hydrogen, solar, and cross-border sustainability solutions," the statement said.
Rare joint panel appearance by Tasneem Zakaria Mehta, Camilla Franks, and Sangita Jindal, uniting heritage, fashion, and philanthropy at the highest level.
Steve Waugh AO to deliver a fireside chat and launch a pop-up exhibit of The Spirit of Cricket India, blending sport, storytelling, and soft diplomacy.
FOMA First Nations Runway Showcase (Gomeroi designs) to debut at the IABCA Awards Gala — a first for the program, representing a deepening of Indigenous–Indian creative exchange.
Charity Partnership with India Vision Institute (IVI)
As the official charity partner, IVI will champion vision care for underserved communities, leveraging IABCA’s platform to advance eye health awareness and interventions across India. Vinod Daniel, CEO of IVI, noted that “this partnership is a clear example of how IABCA is giving back to the communities it engages with, ensuring our bilateral efforts deliver social as well as economic impact.”
Sonia Sadiq Gandhi, Founder & Director, IABCA, said: "IABCA exists to elevate the Australia–India relationship beyond policy — we are here to create enduring connections across business, government, and culture. The 2025 India Immersion Week is about amplifying shared leadership, celebrating excellence, and fostering the kind of partnerships that leave a lasting legacy."
Anil Wadhwa, Former Ambassador & Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, "It is a pleasure to support the India Australia Business & Community Awards (IABCA), a proven platform for strengthening the multifaceted India–Australia partnership. Investments, trade, people-to-people links, tourism, education, culture, and sports are key pillars of this relationship. By recognising those driving these ties, IABCA inspires others to follow. I extend my best wishes for its continued success."
The 2025 IABCA India Immersion Week will culminate in two headline events at the JIO World Centre and Ambani Centre, Mumbai:
