Pakistan-backed hackers target Indian veterans, Army Public School portals in failed cyberattack spree: Report
New Delhi: Pakistan suffered another embarrassment on May 1 as hacker groups linked to its establishment—such as "Cyber Group HOAX1337" and "National Cyber Crew"—attempted, but failed, to breach several Indian websites, ANI reported.

The cyberattacks were swiftly detected and neutralised by Indian cybersecurity agencies.
Among the targets were the websites of Army Public School Nagrota and Sunjuwan, which were hit with attempted defacements carrying messages that mocked the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack.
In another incident, a healthcare portal for ex-servicemen was defaced—an act seen as a reflection of Pakistan's mounting frustration.
Repeated attempts have been made by Pakistan-based hackers to compromise websites connected to children, war veterans, and other vulnerable groups.
Cyber experts say these acts mark a new low in Pakistan's continuing pattern of unethical and provocative digital aggression.
The defacement of the Army Institute of Hotel Management’s website and that of Indian Air Force veterans further exposes the Pakistani establishment’s intent to provoke India and escalate tensions in cyberspace.
These brazen online offensives come amid a broader campaign of hybrid warfare by Pakistan, combining terrorism with information attacks in what appears to be a calculated effort to test India’s restraint.
