Rural Development (Panchayat) Minister Kishore Barman on Saturday highlighted the remarkable achievements of several Panchayats in Tripura under the National Panchayat Awards 2025 during a press conference held at the Civil Secretariat in Agartala.

Addressing the press conference, the Minister said that a number of Panchayats from the state have been recognised at the national level for their outstanding performance in various aspects of rural development and Panchayati Raj governance. He noted that the awards acknowledge the Panchayats' contributions towards transparency, good governance, improved public service delivery, social development, and the creation of sustainable rural infrastructure.

Barman stated that the achievement reflects the collective efforts of elected Panchayat representatives, government officials, and local residents working together to strengthen grassroots governance and accelerate rural development.

Expressing optimism, he said that the national recognition would further motivate Panchayats across the state to undertake more innovative and development-oriented initiatives in the future.

The Minister also reaffirmed the state government's commitment to advancing rural development and strengthening the Panchayati Raj system to ensure inclusive and sustainable growth in Tripura.
