Six Railway out-sourcing staff arrested with Ganja from Deoghar express

In a successful operation, the Government Railway Police (GRP) has arrested six out-sourcing Railway staff including pantry manager along with 75 kilograms of dry Cannabis (Ganja).
Police sources said that based on secret information over involvement of a section of Railway staff for smuggling of Ganja through passenger trains, a contingent of GRP and local police on Saturday night raided Deoghar express at Dharmanagar station under North Tripura district.
During the raid at pantry car of the rail, police recovered a total of seven bags of dry Ganja, hidden in bags of Atta, potatoes with total weight of 75 kgs and arrested six persons including pantry car manager Priyanshu Raj (29) and five others Sany Kumar (25), Mukesh Shah (35), Nitish Kumar Jha(27), Fayaz Ali (35), all are from Bihar state and Chandan Shah (35) of West Bengal.
GRP station of Dharmanagar said that all arrested six drug peddlers were produced before a local court of Dharmanagar on Sunday in a case registered under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act 1985 with police remand appeals.
